Yet, his craft extends beyond portraiture. As a cinematographer, he has had the privilege of capturing high- precision surgical procedures for the nation's top doctors, recording jazz artists, and documenting our planet's pressing ecological challenges, especially the crucial role of kelp ecosystems. When not behind the camera, you can find Alex surfing at Rockaway, sweating at yoga class, or drumming in the Djembe circle.
